CD205, DEC205

CD205 is a 205 kD protein expressed on the cell surface. It is a member of the family of C-type multilectins. It is thought to be involved in the endocytosis of glycoprotein antigens. Within the thymus, it has been implicated in the binding of apoptotic thymocytes as part of the thymocyte selection process.
