Oncocytic carcinoma of the breast

Histopathology

The tumour cells have pink granular cytoplasm and monomorphic nuclei with prominent nucleoli. They form a cribriform or solid pattern.

Immunohistochemistry

• Antimitochondrial antibody: positive¹

• GCDFP: usually negative¹

Ultrastructure

Numerous mitochondria are present.
